Description Martin Srebotnjak 2015-07-25 13:32:07 UTC
With this update:
https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/17027/

the Slovenian lang-pack was updated (updated thesaurus).
Also new extension version was uploaded to extensions.libreoffice.org

But RC4 of LO50 loads the old lang-pack (dated december 2014) and does not even notify of existence of newer extension version. I did delete the profile

This is urgent for Slovenian 5.0 release, so please someone verify.

The Slovenian sentence to check updated thesaurus to paste into a Writer document, set to Slovenian language:
Na odriv smo pripravljeni.

When right-clicking on "odriv" the thesaurus should offer a synonim "odgon".

Also the version/date of the extension release should be 2015.07.13 and not 2014.12.29.

@Sophie
would you please take a look at this one or CC the Slovenian localization team?

It is strange, the version contained here (and obviously used for build) is up-to-date:
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/src/libreoffice-dictionaries-5.0.0.4.tar.xz

I have a report from a Linux installation of the LO50RC4 build from our community that all is fine, the latest dictionary from July 13 2015 is included.

I have no confirmation from Win systems.

So could this be only on OS X?

The installed package's /Contents/Resources/extensions/dict-sl/ folder contains the december 2014 version of lang-pack, so obviously for OSX the wrong dictionary gets bundled into the its langpack sl dmg (LibreOffice_5.0.0.4_MacOS_x86-64_langpack_sl.dmg)?

It is also weird why LO is not informed over the net that there is a newer/current version of the extension available to install/upgrade.
Comment 4 Martin Srebotnjak 2015-07-26 15:57:03 UTC
The reported OK Linux build was deb, 64-bit.
Comment 5 Martin Srebotnjak 2015-07-26 19:27:32 UTC
I have also confirmation with the 32-bit Windows build that the bundled Slovenian dict-pack is the new one.
So this makes only the OSX lang-pack a faulty one.

Also, old versions of LO on Windows and OSX did not get notice of availability of newer version of Slovenian lang-pack. Should I open a special bug report for this?

I checked the contents of the
LibreOffice_5.0.0.4_MacOS_x86-64_langpack_sl.dmg
installation set and it does contain the old version of Slovenian dict-pack, changing status to NEW.

Just to keep you informed, we discuss it yesterday with Cloph. He will investigate the problem. He has some checks to do and will see with Norbert what has happened.

my mistake. I forgot to update the submodule when I did the build.
Comment 10 Martin Srebotnjak 2015-07-28 14:48:46 UTC
OK, so it is fixed, you will build the lang-pack again?

The dev-builds still has the old Slovenian OSX lang-pack.

Until this is cleared I should reopen the bug?

Please let’s not make this bug report yet another never-ending cycle of chasing the dog’s tail. Bugzilla mail messages sent by legit status changes are annoying enough.
