exported png file + draw format + file in gimp

Hello,

Ubuntu 14.04 / LO 4.4.4.3

- create a document (page size A3) in draw
- export it to .png
- set size and resolution, no interleave, in dialog box

What I expect :

- a png file of same size and proportions,
- in that case a red rectangle with 1cm white border.
(or a red rectangle with 1cm transparent border)

What I get :

- the png export excludes the margins of the original A3 document but size remains A3 420x297mm so resolution lowered,
- in that case only a red rectangle.

…resolution lowered,

and

proportions of the image are not kept

(as you can see on attached gimp picture, horizontal and vertical resolution are different)

Reproduced.

I wonder, if bug 91768 is related.

Win 7 Pro 64-bit Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+

Indeed bug 91768 seems very similar.

If exported without keeping transparency, from the same image, you get 1cm white border, expected size and proportion.

So there is a confusion mixing :

- actual size of "page"

- margin/border of this page

- transparency

?

Transparency or not, in my mind, the size of the image should remain the size of the "page" it's on.

Problem is still present in
Version: 5.1.5.2
Build ID: 1:5.1.5~rc2-0ubuntu1~trusty1

Attached are 3 png files in test_3_png_files.zip

Settings of the page are :
A4 size,
top and bottom margins 4cm
left and right margins 2cm

test_01 no transparency → ok
test_02 with transparency → not ok, stretched, wrong proportions
test_03 is what I expected, made with gimp from test_01.

Dear Gérald Maruccia,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword
