Description Helmut Leininger 2015-07-27 09:11:08 UTC
In Extras/Options/Colors a color palette may be opened. Its colors (top part) and its name are shown after the open dialog is closed.
But the setting is not remembered (selecting again Extras/Options/Colors shows the standfard palette) nor can it be used in Writer, Cals, ... The only place where it works seems to be Format/Area in Draw. But why then the posdsibility to load a palette in the general options ?

quoting from https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98465#c4:

> The ui is kind of sucky here. What you are doing is loading a palette from a
> file.soc the "Table:" will change to the filename of the thing you loaded.
> But the "Standard" standard.soc palette is what gets shown here on each load.
>
> After "load" of e.g. a file.soc you can edit colors and the file.soc will be
> modified. To then use this file.soc you have to either use save and name it
> "something" in the suggested save location in which case its an additional
> option in the color selectors in the next new window created from the
> palette dropdown, or save it as "standard.soc" and it becomes the new
> standard palette for new windows.

> All a bit grim.

The color handling has changed completely. Palettes are not managed anymore per Tools > Options > Color.
