Description dbojan76+bugzilla 2015-07-27 09:28:34 UTC
1. open office writer
2. click on save
3. there is not .bak file in the backup folder

expected result:
.bak file in the backup folder after first save.

Reason:
file might get damaged.
the version, for the first save, can be the same as the original file.

Thanks.

Reproducible of course, but it is not a bug.

It is very easy to force LO to make a backup copy: hit Enter then backspace at the end of the file, then ctrl+S to save the file again.

I think what you are asking for is conflicting with the strong aim to improve LO performance. Many users will be angry against you if they discover that their file is save twice the first time.

Closing as NotABug.
