Description Alex Thurgood 2015-07-27 11:02:48 UTC
Testing the files provided with Kohei's AMD OpenCL work on OSX:

Version: 4.4.3.2
Build ID: 88805f81e9fe61362df02b9941de8e38a9b5fd16
Locale : fr_

1) Open test file
2) Activate macros
3) Press recalculate button

3) Reported time to recalculate :

Stock History.xls 8736,44
Ground Water Daily 137402,85
Dates worked 38775,59

Compare to master :
Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: 74d7136325ca00534bbb76351bf79cf43afc8a56
Locale : fr-FR (fr.UTF-8)

Stock History 34935,59
Ground Water Daily 372016,91
Dates worked 194922,33

The slowness and drop in performance in master compared to 4432 is quite astounding.

Tests on:
Version: 5.0.0.4
Build ID: cf112dc905650fb985306a7a03d2fe3fcc6c978f
Locale: fr-FR (fr.UTF-8)

Stock History 10119,98
Ground Water Daily 135486,08
Dates worked 37947,18

The figures above were obtained with a new profile that was created when LO was started.

I have noticed that once a user profile is created, there appears to be an increase in speed of calculation. The second interation of Ground Water Daily produced a result in 104278,26. This could be cache related when LO is not shut down each time.

As it stands, 50004 doesn't show a regression in performance, just master, so will close this report as invalid.
