Created attachment 117566 [details] pozvanka.doc I have found a .docx file saved as .doc file on public web which does not work on LibreOffice. I expect it works on MS-Office. Original link: https://www.jankratochvil.net/t/pozvanka.doc Content-Type: application/msword When clicked in Firefox as is or when opened from disk file as .doc: The file 'pozvanka.doc' is corrupt and therefore cannot be opened. LibreOffice can try to repair the file. The corruption could be the result of document manipulation or of structural document damage due to data transmission. We recommend that you do not trust the content of the repaired document. Execution of macros is disabled for this document. Should LibreOffice repair the file? [Yes] The file 'pozvanka.doc' could not be repaired and therefore cannot be opened. [OK] General Error [OK] <ooffice quits> [No] The file 'pozvanka.doc' could not be repaired and therefore cannot be opened. I can open the file without any problems on v4.2.8.2/4.3.7.2/4.4.5.2/5.0.0.4 under mint 17.2 x64 and v4.4.5.2 under windows7 x64.
That is unexpected when you write you tested 4.3.7.2. I have here only Fedora 21 x86_64: libreoffice-4.3.7.2-9.fc21.x86_64
No problem to open this file with Version: 5.0.1.0.0+ Build ID: f1333692475201ce1be7a037397158051d8bd039 Built at home under Ubuntu_15.04_x86-64 with GCC 5.1 Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8) No problem too with all versions starting from 4.0.6 Best regards. JBF
I will re-file it to Fedora Bugzilla then.
