Hi Nicola,

Thanks for your report!
I do not have the problem with 5.0.0.5 on Linux 32 bits.
Maybe a problem with the user profile?

Reported also in Bug 73071 comment 32. This is actually an old bug, that seems to be triggered for some users by the new styles panel.

I'm also having this problem since the 5.0 release from the Ubuntu PPA, and it seems to be caused by missing the Galaxy iconset if the user only has Sifr installed.

For me, everything was solved with 'sudo apt-get install libreoffice-style-galaxy' and restarting LibreOffice. (After a killall soffice.bin from tty1.)

My preposition would be to have libreoffice-style-sifr depend on (so not recommend or suggest) libreoffice-style-galaxy, so that everyone who uses the Ubuntu PPA and only has the Sifr iconset installed, will also receive the Galaxy iconset with the update to 5.0.

Seems Sifr related indeed, I also had Sifr installed prior the update in Ubuntu 14.04. After update to 5.0.0.5 Sifr is still in use and the new icon set is not added. I only have Human and Sifr. If I change to Human I no longer have the problem. When I change back to Sifr the problem reaappears after a restart. However after installing Galaxy problem disappears entirely. The problem only appears in Writer, not in Calc or the other LO-programs.

Likely this is not (entirely) a dupe of tdf#78111, which has been around since LibreOffice 4.2.x. At least some of the described behaviour is new of 5.0.x: see also tdf#93145.
