Seamless image patterns are popular background assets in page-design. In order to use them, the image must be tiled. The newly added "Set Page Background..." function in Draw only gives the option to stretch/fill the selected image to the page size. A new option that allows for tiling the selected image would be fantastic.
Right Click > Page > Page Setup > Tab "Background" Uncheck "Autofit", check "Tile".
I'm sorry I can see that I haven't clarified this request very well. I recognize that I can set the background to tile using the specified method, but I don't consider this to be very straight forward. What I'm asking for is a way to specify, during the import process, whether the background image should be tiled or stretched. Currently, the following to options are available in the background image selection dialog: [ ] Preview [ ] Insert as Link I'm suggesting that an additional check box be added, such as this: [ ] Tile Image Or, a drop-down menu could be added such as: Fill method: -Tile -AutoFit I feel either of these options would greatly improve the user experience. Is this truly invalid as a feature request?

Ah, I missed the enhancement dropdown in the importance field. Thanks for taking care of this for me. I'm fairly new to bugzilla...
The page background setting is under investigation currently. It is planned to make it coherent to every other area fill settings. So I don't ask about "[ ] Tile", which is available in 5.1.
More likely we require a drop down menu with various fill options including - None, Stretch, Tile.

repro 24.8+ It is just a generic insert file dialog I assume. Not likely to get customized options...
