Sometimes half the captions are saved and sometimes none. I tried for an hours to correct the captions so they show but once saved many or all are missing again. I finally gave up and returned to Writer 4.4 and the problem disappeared.

Cliff: Without more information, this report seems to be a duplicate of bug 93277. Can you confirm or deny?

I did answer the comment immediately but it apparently got lost in the shuffle.
My problem was not exactly the same as the previous bug report. I did have the same problem with the pfds because the problem carried over from the odt. it seems the caption frame was very sensitive and the caption would disappear unless one kept fiddling with it. Once all the captions were viewable and the odt saved at least half of them were not carried over to the saved document. I tried this many times and, at best, half of them would not be saved. I have since downloaded version 5.0.0.5 and so far the problem does not appear to exist in this latest version.

Ok, let's set this to WORKSFORME and if it appears again, you can set it back to UNCONFIRMED.
