Stundenzettel-Excel - EXAMPLE.ods

Attached you'll find an example ods file where the columns C, D, E, F are formatted as HH:MM and in Cell D36 the Time is summarized and displayed with the format [HH]:MM. In the example the value should be 24:00 and is displayed as -48:00.

Select column "Pause" and format as [HH:MM] and you will see the cause of D36 result.
Filling cell with numeric value increment this value by 1, so 0:30 becomes 24:30, 48:30 etc…
If you want to copy down the same value, hold the Ctrl key while dragging the fill handle.

Hello Gerard,

let me recap this:

I tried to change the cell format for column E from HH:MM to [HH:MM]. In the Cell Format dialog under User defined (Benutzerdefiniert in German) I antered [HH:MM]. The dialog change the Category to User defined but does not!!! allow to add and save this format as it's not an allowed format. The format after clicking OK reverts to HH:MM.
Nothing changed in D36.

I changed for E5 the value from 00:30:00 to 1 and exits the cell. The cell shows now 00:00 and after entering the cell again for editing it show 24:00:00. As for now correct. But in D36 the value is now -71:30. Not correct. In cell F5 the value is still 8:45 - also not correct: should -16:15 or an 00:00 if the cell format does not allow to present negative time values.

And last [HH]:MM should show accumulated hours.

So the Bug is not fixed.

Sorry, it's my fault:
I should have wrote [HH]:MM instead of [HH:MM].
Format cells E5 to E35 with [HH]:MM (same as D36)

Cells in F shows the modulo 24:00 of the calculation.
To see negative hours, you need [HH]:MM format.

Hello Gerard,

sorry, havent seen that the E column value wasn't copied but accumulated.
