Created attachment 117814 [details] Sample data Importing the attached file freeze Calc. Today I updated to last 5.0.0.5 because I got the same problem with earlier 4.4.x versions. The same file works without the first row.
Created attachment 117816 [details] Screenshot with the options that work for me. Hi @sdaniele78, thanks for reporting. Works fine for me with both versions, may some option in the input window is the source of the issue. Attached an screenshot with the options that work for me.
Ok, with your options it works for me too. Try this: - first select "Tab" - then remove "Semicolon" There is no "tab" on file so does not make sense to do that, but if you made a "wrong" click it freeze Calc. Without the first row it works. Daniele
Created attachment 117856 [details] Import process In win seems freeze, after OK in the import window, but not, after a couple of minutes shows only one row of data, clicking again OK, shows the error message, clicking OK, import what fits in one cell. For me not a bug, please if are not agree, reopen it.
I reopened the bug. In Ubuntu 12.04, Calc freezed before I click "OK". After 5 minutes nothing happens, Calc is still freezed. Anyway, what happens to you (m.a.riosv) is a bug too: there is a error message that it should not be and Calc take a couple of minutes to show that. Without the first row the file is imported in 1 second.
I also tryied to paste the first row of the file inside Calc cell and there wasn't problem, so no maximum number of characters was exceeded. Try you too please.
Well, it freezes with Tab selected. Win 7 Pro 64-bit, Version: 5.0.2.2 (x64) Build ID: 37b43f919e4de5eeaca9b9755ed688758a8251fe Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI)
