There are two situations happened: 1.When renaming the sheet, use Ctrl+V, then Calc crashes 2.When using chart, paste text in the data ranges's edit boxes, it crashes. My language set is either English(USA) or Chinese(Simplied), and the crashes happen for both.
Hi @Jason, thanks for reporting. I can't reproduce. Please could explain step by step. Could you attach an example file in which you have the issue. Remember to delete any private/personal information. Have you tried resetting the user profile?, sometimes solves strange issues.
Created attachment 117850 [details] This is an example. See how to reproduce the issue in the comment. What I do: I want to rename sheet 2 named after sheet 1, Right Click on Sheet 1's name and choose "Rename Sheet..." and copy the sheet 1's name from the Editbox to clipboard with Ctrl+C , then do the same action to Sheet 2, When I paste into the EditBox with Ctrl+V, the Calc crashes. And This also occures when I paste text to My Chart's Editboxes after copying from the sheet 1's name with Ctrl+C.

For the first, I can't reproduce, if I try to paste the first sheet name on the second, and "Invalid sheet name" message, pasting from a cell no problem. For the second, I can paste without problem, with a new box or in the title box. Please try resetting the user profile, sometimes solves strange issues. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile May be only a Linux issue. Returned to unconfirmed.
Hi, I couldn't reproduce either using Ubuntu 15.04. I've no crash and get the normal 'invalid sheet name' dialog box. Sophie
I can't confirm with Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 6b7354ae66db40246a09e00aa876443057655a43 TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@70-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2015-08-19_01:05:16 error message> Invalid sheet name. The sheet name must not be a duplicate of an existing name and may not contain the characters [ ] * ? : / \ For the test, could you rename your LibreOffice directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and give it a new try?
