Description Reginald Jones 2015-08-11 18:20:04 UTC
LibreOffice 5.0.0.5 running on an iMac using OS X 10.11 Beta (15A243d). LibreOffice hangs while doing a file recovery on a spreadsheet after a restart. Sometimes it comes up with a blank page and sometimes I get the spreadsheet but it hangs the application in either case. I had the same problem in the last version of the OS X beta and the last version of LibreOffice. I have to do a force quit to get out of the application.

Per QA policy, there are no blockers

Without a test file that causes the crash and crash reporter to start, there is no way for us to reproduce this. Please provide a test file that causes the problem.

Also, there is no one from QA currently using OSX Beta.

Other issues of instability are already known for El Capitan.

Spin Dump from the LibreOffice hang

This is a diagnostic dump taken by my iMac during the LibreOffice application hang. I hope it will help someone to figure out the problem.

Spin Dump from the LibreOffice hang

The dump was taken when LibreOffice was hung after recovering a spreadsheet.I was running a test with no other apps running except for the console logging.
I got the following console log messages:

The latest public beta of OSX is reported as having fixed many of the stability problems previously encountered in the beta releae program with LibreOffice. Could you try again with the latest public beta and report back ?
Comment 5 steve 2016-08-21 09:50:30 UTC
This has long been fixed. Firstly, macOS 10.11 stable has been released almost a year ago.

There used to be a recovery bug in LO which has been fixed a long while ago as well.

If this continues for you using macOS 10.11.6 and LO 5.2.x or newer, please re-open this bug.

For any bugs related to macOS 10.12 Sierra betas, please file new bugs.
