When displaying the properties of a control the labels on the left hand side blank out when scrolling through the available properties. This was not a problem for releases prior to LibreOffice 5 Sample database supplied A1. Open sample database A2. In the Forms panel right click the form FMNWCIRC_DATA_ENTRY. A drop down list should appear. A3. Select the "Edit" option by left clicking it. The Form FMNWCIRC_DATA_ENTRY should be displayed in edit mode. A4. Select the "Search for Subscribers" Button by right clicking it. A drop down list should appear. A5. Select the "Control" option by left clicking it. The properties dialog should appear. A6. Scroll through the menu option using the right hand side scroll bar. The property labels on the left hand side will be extremely slow to refresh and sometimes not appear at all.

Not reproducible on OSX 10.10.5 with Version: 5.0.0.5 Build ID: 1b1a90865e348b492231e1c451437d7a15bb262b Locale : fr-FR (fr.UTF-8) When I scroll down the Control properties, each property name is displayed correctly, without any visual defects. Which Linux desktop environment are you using ? Which Linux distribution ? Is OpenGL activated in the LibreOffice General configuration ?
I've seen the same behaviour on - Slackware 14.1 - KDE 4.10.5 Lubuntu 14.04LTS - LXDE In Lubuntu 14.04LTS navigated from the menu Tools -> Options -> Libreoffice -> View The "Use OpenGL for all rendering" checkbox was unticked so ticked it. Closed LO Base. Opened application and navigated to the option again and it had reverted to unticked. Repeated for Slackware 14.1 same result. Cannot make the tick against the "Use OpenGL for all rendering" checkbox persistent. On my production system, running LO 4.3.7, again the "Use OpenGL for all rendering" checkbox was unticked but I could make it persistent. Version: 5.0.0.5 Build ID: 437e4abdf9e72fd0a6e6f8697a0e659bc77f9b10 Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8)
Couldn't reproduce the described behaviour on LO 5.0.1.2 and LO 5.0.0.5, OpenSUSE 13.2 64bit rpm Linux, KDE Desktop. Isn't possible to use OpenGl here on my system.
I've subsequently - 1. installed a new instance of Lubuntu 14.04 LTS in virtualbox; 2. pulled the latest LibreOffice source code from git; 3. compiled LibreOffice to obtain - Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 74bc7cb59c1bc3f7acdb4d1492fe563ebcefee6c Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8) The problem I initially reported, for LibreOffice 5.0.0.5, is not reproducible in 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ on this new install of Lubuntu 14.04 LTS. Neither is the problem reproducible using 5.0.0.5 on this new install of Lubuntu 14.04 LTS. The problem is still there for 5.0.0.5 on an old install of Lubuntu 14.04 LTS. Not sure where we go from here!
For me, this is currently WFM. You have said yourself that a new install of Lubuntu 14.04 doesn't cause the bug to happen, nor does it happen with a self-compiled LO5.1 master, nor even with a current 5.0.0.5 At the moment, the only other thing I can think of is a window theme difference that might have caused the initial issue. Some window themes have been known to cause issues with various versions of LibreOffice in the past. Setting as resolved worksforme. If you manage to find the particular settings which cause the problem to manifest itself again, please re-open.
