First, thank you for a great product and for continuing to get a MS Office replacement. I am an enterprise user and we are very happy with Libreoffice and the work they have done to keep up with MS Office compatibility. So here is the issue that I am running into. On a EL6 (Enterprise Linux 6) with LibreOffice 5.0.0.5 installed the spellchecker does not work. If I used the version of LibreOffice in the standard repos which is version 4.2.8.2-11 spellchecker does work fine. I have tried higher versions of LibreOffice 4 and the spellchecker does not work on them either. I also have an EL7 box and LibreOffice 5.0.0.5 installed and spellchecker works just fine, it appears it uses a newer version of hunspell, version 1.3 verses version 1.2 on EL6. I build from source hunspell 1.3 on EL6 and it doesn't complain during the compile/build but LibreOffice 5.0.0.5 does not see a valid spellchecker installed. I have been able to reproduce this on multiple EL6 boxes so I do not believe it is a configuration issue, please look into it especially since EL6 is going to be supported for many more years and in an enterprise environment it isn't as easy to always just use the latest OS available. Everything else about LibreOffice 5 works in EL6, just not the spellchecker Thanks James
How did you install 5.0 on RHEL6? LibO is supposed to bundle both hunspell and the dictionaries. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
