Hi Joel,

the "CONCLUSION" paragraph has in their format outline+numbering, the outline level to "Body Text" changing it to Level 1 as the other paragraph works fine, TOC is updated.

I hope you are agree that it's not a bug, please if you are not agree reopen it.

That is quite strange as i doubt joel went into paragraph dialog to change it from level 1 to body text, so i wonder what happened to cause this change.

Well it seems Note_Heading 1's style outline level is set to body text and paragraphs set to it have outline level set to level 1 at the paragraph level. Seem you are mixing styles and direct formatting way to much Joel and things are going wrong because of it. If only my mockup of the styles & formatting tab was done (attachment 115020 [details]), it would have made this lookup chore alot easier. :D

@Jay - in the future I suggest not blaming the user as it's 100% not productive. I use LibreOffice as *most* users use it, if this causes a problem, it's not the user's fault.

As for mixing direct formatting and styles - I obviously try to minimize that (which is more than most users do as styles are not an obvious concept for most people). I suspect what happened was that the direct formatting was *inherited* from a previous section and thus caused the problem. This goes back to the other bug that is already confirmed by UX about new lines inheriting direct formatting from previous lines in a wacky way that creates lots of headaches. Apparently this is another headache that comes with that bug.

It's easy don't see the mistake in front of you, while someone else and can see it at first glance.

Not all can be perfect all the time, how the life would be?
