Description John J. McLaughlin 2015-09-06 02:39:29 UTC
I was adding lines to a spreadsheet all day long.
I do an explicit save every few hours.
I select group of ~40 lines and sorted
Tool crashed and recovery gave me a version from 8 hours ago
Comment 1 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2015-09-06 08:49:07 UTC
Line 2 (every few hours) and line 4 (8 hours ago) are contradictory.

What is your OS ?
What is the exact version of LibreOffice you use? 5.0.0 or 5.0.1 which is the current stable version?

Setting status to needinfo.

best regards. JBF
Comment 2 John J. McLaughlin 2015-09-06 14:37:26 UTC
MacOS 10.10.5
File is a .csv
Was using 5.0.0
Have now upgraded to 5.0.1
Line 2 (every few hours) and line 4 (8 hours ago) are observations
Comment 3 Jean-Baptiste Faure 2015-09-06 15:58:07 UTC
There is no data loss if you do not save your data.

Please use command+S (I assume it is the shortcut for File > Save) more often. When I add important data to a file I use ctrl+S several times a minute.

As is this bug report is useless for fixing something in the code because we do not have a clear scenario to reproduce the crash.

Do you have additional information allowing to elaborate a reproducible scenario?

Best regards. JBF

No feedback since months.
Let's put this one to INSUFFICIENTDATA.

John: don't hesitate to reopent this tracker if you can still reproduce this with last stable LO version 5.1.4.
In this case, please provide response to Jean-baptiste's comment.
