spreadsheet upon which the problem was observed

If I simply select a column by clicking the mouse on the column-header, in a very small spreadsheet, and then attempt to perform any kind of operation, e.g. entering a formula, libre-office calc will use 100% of CPU and a large portion of RAM (2+ GB).

The "cell range" display in the upper-left corner of the window (right below the toolbar) will show something like B1:E1073741824, and my guess is that it's actually trying to do something for each of those (non-existant) rows...

Any subsequent to interact with the window fails, and the only way I've found to stop it is to kill the process.

Version of Calc is 5.0.1.

I've attached the actual spreadsheet if that's useful.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I don't reproduce this.

Could you describe more precisely what you did after you selected an entire column?
Indeed, even if I selected a column, a cell is still selected in this column, therefore the formula applies only to it.
