Description Bastián Díaz 2015-09-14 18:40:10 UTC
This is a small improvement report.

The comic/manga are very popular, would be good for LO Draw to open CBZ files to be edited, or create comic files directly from LO Draw.

I do not know the possibility of using other compression formats such as rar or 7zip.

Thanks

CBZ files are simply image files stored in an zip file, so it should be simple to support opening it as odf files are zip files as well, but wonder whether we'd want to support exporting to it as well.

I think this is too niche. Draw is not meant for doing comics, unlike an app like Krita. I don't support either import or export.

We discussed this at length in QA Chat and it just doesn't fit at all with the concept of an office suite. Feel free to email the QA list for additional opinions but a handful of QA members all said "this doesn't fit our product at all" and implementing such a feature would be going into realms that are inconsistent for LibreOffice. There are products out there meant to be used to view comics - this is similar to asking LibreOffice to implement a built-in media player . . . it's just not what the product is made for.

Closing as WONTFIX - again feel free to email the QA list for additional opinions if you're so inclined but please don't set to NEW without building some kind of support for the idea (again...on the mailing list). Thanks
