Libreoffice stores its config in a bunch of files located in a specific directory. In this directory, there are also extensions installed. Sometimes, for various reasons, these files or extensions may be buggy or not compatible. So the idea would be to give a new try with a brand new LibreOffice (shortcut "LO") directory. For this you must rename (and not delete) your LibreOffice directory. Since you're on Windows, you can find where's your LO directory by reading this part: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows

Okay, I renamed my user profile and restarted LO. Still get an xml error when saving as an .odt. Also get the other bug I reported, i.e. registering the page gets me a CTD and recovery. Formatting is not saved.
I can not confirm with LO 5.0.2.2 (x64) and Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 2511a21841dd9dec735a53add8174e47d24deb88 TinderBox: Win-x86@62-merge-TDF, Branch:MASTER, Time: 2015-10-13_23:26:46; win7 I can save file as .odt.
Hi Michael, You file just saves fine for me in a recent daily build and in 5.0.3.2. On Ubuntu. Can you try a recent version too? Thanks - Cor
