Description Marco 2015-09-28 08:43:57 UTC
The gui is unbelievable sluggish, i have tried several settings (included memory settings) to resolve this issue, but it is still not workable.
I also uninstalled the program and installed it again without any good result.
I hope there is a solution for this issue that became a problem.

I work with:

* ubuntu 14.04 lts
* memory 8gbD Graphics 6000 (Broadwell GT3)
* OS type 64 bit
* libre office version 5.0.1.2 build 2

greetings Marco

Also with a upgrade to 5.0.2.2 the issue still exists..

Don't know, if this profile renaming would help with perf issues, but worth a shot: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile

Are you using Ubuntu with Unity?

I have the same issue (window 7 64bit, libre office 5.0.2.2). In Writer I can switch off the usage of OpenGL (Tools-Options-View); after a restart the performance is back to usual. So in my case it was the same as Bug 94726.

(btw, I am using nvidia)

Good catch, Fotis.

Marco, please try and disable OpenGL to see, if it helps (Tools - Options - LibO - View - Use opengl for all rendering).

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED DUPLICATE of Bug 94726, if the problem went away.

Marco - another ping to try this with a more recent build - ideally 5.1.x based ... this shouldn't be related to OpenGL since that is off by default on Linux.
