Description George Peppas 2015-10-07 10:33:10 UTC
When maximizing or restoring Libreoffice, it shows totally black for 1-2 seconds (neither toolbars, nor document contents are shown).

Scrolling is very slow. Moving page up/down by clicking on the vertical scroll bar, starts scrolling (slowly and discontinuously) and this does not stop until the scroll bar "cursor" reaches at the point where the mouse clicked.

Similar problems are encountered while scrolling or selecting Sheets in Calc.

There was no problem with previous versions. Even 5.0.1 was working perfectly.
The problem exists with both x86 or x64 version of 5.0.2.2 Libreoffice in my PC (64bit).

I do not attach any sample, since the problems are encountered even in a document with nothing but normal text.

Thank you.

I've got the same problem since upgrading to 5.0.2.2 64b (Windows 10 64b).
I thought it was due to heavily "styled" long document, but it happens even on a simple text new document.
I replaced LibO by the 32b version, and the problem is still there.

IMHO, it's not an "medium" importance issue, bue a "major" one (working with such a slow tool is really awful).

Hi,

Please open Tools->Options...->LibreOffice->View, and uncheck "Use OpenGL". Does it help? If yes - please state your graphics card.
Comment 3 Olivier Morelle 2015-10-08 16:24:52 UTC
"Use OpenGL" wasn't checked.
Only the first two options (sorry, in french : "Utiliser l'accélération matérielle" ("use material acceleration" maybe...), and "Utiliser le lissage" (no idea of translation...)

I uninstalled the faulty 5.0.2.2 and replaced it by 5.0.1.2, all is perfect.

Strange...

If it helps... My video card is a Nvidia GTX 560 Ti (latest drivers)

That's strange. We have similar report in Bug 94726 (with a similar graphics card), and there it was confirmed to be related to OpenGL.
Comment 6 Maxim Monastirsky 2015-10-08 16:46:41 UTC
Anyway, let put

I meant let's mark as NEW, as there is a confirmation.
Comment 8 George Peppas 2015-10-09 06:03:20 UTC
I'm sorry I cannot check the OpenGL option to check the program, but since I was in need to use it, I "downgraded" to the 5.0.1.2 version, which works without any problem (so far).
When I have some spare time, I shall try again with the 5.0.2.2 version.

Could you test again with a current version? (5.1.6 or 5.2.3)
