Description trumn 2015-10-13 12:35:34 UTC
I tried to insert the data/table from this site

to calc via "Link to External Data". But it reported that no it is not existed, s. attachment.

To NEEDINFO, and correcting Product/Component

As per help https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Inserting_External_Data_in_Table_WebQuery

Did queries to this site ever produce OOo/LO/AOO WebQuerry parseable returns?

The tables are there once the site composes the query, so they can be copied and pasted into the Calc table. So data can be used--just not convenience of the WebQuerry mechanism.

Seems that the query without "!quotesSingleViewOptionin" works fine.

I broke this down to ucb/source/ucp/webdav-neon/NeonSession.cxx NeonSession::HEAD() where the NeonHeadRequest for inPath="/exchange-de/produkte/idx/dax/17254!quotesSingleViewOption?callPut=Call&maturityDate=201512" gets a "404 Not Found".

I also get 404 with
curl --head 'http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-de/produkte/idx/dax/17254!quotesSingleViewOption?callPut=Call&maturityDate=201512'

also for
curl --head 'http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-de/produkte/idx/dax/17254!quotesSingleViewOption'

also for
curl --head 'http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-de/produkte/idx/dax/17254?callPut=Call&maturityDate=201512'

and for
curl --head 'http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-de/produkte/idx/dax/17254'

The first successful HEAD is for
curl --head 'http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-de/produkte/idx/dax/'

This smells like a rotten server side..

And OOPS,
curl --head 'http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-en/products/idx/dax/17254?callPut=Put&maturityDate=201510'

indeed works, now note the working "exchange-en" vs the not working "exchange-de" AND "201510" vs "201512" AND omitted "!quotesSingleViewOption".
However, fiddling with those and trying
curl --head 'http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-en/products/idx/dax/17254!quotesSingleViewOption?callPut=Put&maturityDate=201510'
or
curl --head 'http://www.eurexchange.com/exchange-de/products/idx/dax/17254!quotesSingleViewOption?callPut=Put&maturityDate=201510'

still gives 404.

Go and ask eurexchange.com, I'm resolving this as NOTOURBUG.

Specifically, the response to a HEAD request should be identical to a GET request, except the body and payload, see https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7231#section-4.3.2 or obsoleted https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2616#section-9.4
