Description Antonio Escobedo 2015-10-13 13:59:53 UTC
I am using Zotero 4.0.28.8 stand alone version for Mac OS X 10.11.
When I need a footnote and I click in libreoffice to get a Zotero citation, but Zotero is not opened, Libreoffice freezes and I need to force the exit of libreoffice, otherwise I cannot work anymore.

Also, when I click to "edit a citation" but the cursor is outside of a Zotero citation, libreoffice freezes.

Thanks for you support

Antonio

Any reason not to close this NOT OUR BUG, and refer you to the Zotero project folks?

Meaning did Zotero ever work for your citation entries in a prior build of LibreOffice?

It is very possible it is not your bug, but that it falls somewhere in between Zotero and LO, perhaps through the Java component. (Everything works in OO Writer, though).

The problem is in fact not that LO freezes, as described originally, but that warning dialogs fail to appear on the screen. Unless we press enter or escape, these invisible warnings effectively block any further interaction with LO.

If someone on your team could help us identifying the source of the problem, it would be easier to direct the feedback to the right team. I would definitely volunteer files or testing or whatnot if that could help, but would need some guidance as to where to start.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yvan

Thank you Ivan for your concern.
Your intuition was right. I reinstalled the JAVA component and now it works better. The warning dialog does not appear yet, but now, after reinstalling JAVA, when I press enter or escape I can continue working in LO.

Thanks again for your help.

The “FIXED” bug status is reserved to issues closed explicitly by a commit pushed to out Git repository.
