When exporting information to CSV format and using "copy and paste" function it is noted that some characters are not displayed as expected e.g.
60	BLINKEVI?I?T?, Vilija	Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament	Europe	http://www.europarl.europa.eu/meps/en/96681/VILIJA_BLINKEVICIUTE_cv.html	0	0	0	06/10/15	Online	n/a	Parlement européenBât. Atrium05K00260, rue Wiertz / Wiertzstraat 60B-1047 Bruxelles/Brussel, Europe

When I open the file on LibreOffice Calc there are characters which are not being displayed as above but instead '?' marker is used. I am including attachments including the source database (odb).

Information originally typed in from information at http://www.europarl.europa.eu/portal/en, sometimes I copy and paste from the website itself.

Browser is Google Chrome stable version and UTF-8 encoding.

database (odb) - sourced from table 'PEP'

Is it possible to create an extraction wizard so I can export to other formats as well e.g. ODBC, JDBC and others?

Hi @Jonathan,

for one side maybe you need to select the proper "character set" editing the csv setting when saving and when importing.

On the other side, please read about what ODBC and JDBC are.
