When LibreOffice is in full screen under El Capitan OS X 10.11.1 and there are two documents open on Writer (in full screen mode) swiping between them causes a bug that swipes back automatically to the other document. A more minor bug is that when swiping in general between one application and Libre Office full screen windows (e.g. Safari and Writer in Libre Office) there is an animation issue causing the document in Writer to lag and show part of its contents on the new window (e.g. Safari) for ½ a second.
@YogiD : please provide more details : - swiping between two full screen Writer documents in the same space, or different spaces ? I assume different spaces, since this is what swiping with two fingers on the touchpad does ?
The full screen writer documents are swiped with 3 fingers. There is only one Writer document per screen and as you swipe it transitions into another screen, another Writer document. Does this make sense?
(In reply to YogiD from comment #2) > The full screen writer documents are swiped with 3 fingers. There is only > one Writer document per screen and as you swipe it transitions into another > screen, another Writer document. Does this make sense? Yes, thanks, I'll need to test on my Macbook
I can't reproduce the reported behaviour on OSX 10.11.1 1) Open a Writer document. 2) Switch to fullscreen mode by clicking on the green fullscreen window button 3) Open another Writer document - this document is displayed full screen in an adjacent workspace. 4) Swiping between adjacent workspaces shows no screen corruption or lag. If youare doing something differently to what I have indicated above, please write down the precise steps.
Try putting Safari and Mail in full screen as well. Now, try switching between all 4 (keeping both Writers next in line with each other). Does that reproduce it for you?
Confirmed on LO 5022 @YogID : thanks for your help and input.
Tested with: Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 (15E2066) with LibreOffice Version: 5.1.2.2 Build ID: d3bf12ecb743fc0d20e0be0c58ca359301eb705f CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Mac OS X 10.11.4; UI Render: default. It seems using the native OSX full-screen behaviour (which now puts the zoomed in window in it's own space), is broken. The central issue is how LO handles Spaces on OSX. Workaround: Double click on the window's title bar to maximise the window (like 'full screen' in earlier OSX versions). Related, possibly duplicated, issues ~ Missing menu bar: #53282, #76476, #96134, #97402, #97709. Extra blank screen (black- was grey): #72490, #83378, #96134. General: #85259, #95362.
As I have said earlier in other bug reports, I think we should just remove the current hack to "support" OS X full-screen mode from the code. It is a somewhat barebones quick hack and not at all well thought out and/or tested, and the interaction with LO's own full-screen concept is unclear.
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (5.4.1 or 5.3.6 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b.
