Description r.vauchez 2015-11-04 14:18:30 UTC
When resizing or/and moving the window in the screen the cursor get lost. Impossible to click or select with the mouse, or the selection is not aligned with the mouse cursor. Before resizing or/hand moving the window, everything works fine. Strange.

LibreOffice 5.0.2.2
iMac with OS.11.1 El Capitan

@rvauchez : sorry, I don't understand what it is you are doing or what the problem is - please provide step by step instructions.
Comment 2 r.vauchez 2015-11-04 15:46:34 UTC
Here's the issue:

- open a Writer blank page
- type some text
- select some text with the mouse cursor
- it works (as expected)

or
- position the text cursor by clicking in the text with the mouse cursor
- it works

but
- move the document window across the screen
- try to select some text with the mouse cursor
- it does not work (can't highlight the text, can't click on another location in the page), the mouse seems non-working. Arrows are still working to move the cursor in the text.

weirdly
- if you move the window back to its original position
- it works

It seems that the mouse cursor loose track of the window once it has been moved.

I don't use Writer a lot so I don't know when the issue appeared.

Let me know if someone can reproduce this.

Thanks for the information, however, I still can not reproduce the behaviour you describe.

1) Open a Writer document containing some text.

2) I can select any portion of that text with the mouse by dragging, or double-clicking on a word, or by using a combination of keys (shift+right/left arrow)

3) If I unselect my selection, and then move the app window, say to the right of my screen, I can still drag and select text portions from where the cursor was last positioned, or via any other of the ways described above.

4) If I resize my app window, I can still selection text portions at will, using any of the methods described in point 2.

TEsted on LibreOffice 5022 TDF release.

By any chance, are you using LibreOffice from the AppStore ?
