Created attachment 120283 [details] black text in menu Hello, I made an update to LO 5.X out of curiosity. I can see that with all mediterranean themes that use dark menu background (https://github.com/rbrito/mediterranean-gtk-themes) all LibreOffice applications display black text in menu (look at the attachement). All other programs I use like Firefox, Bluefish editor, Thunar file manager switch font color of menu to white with those themes. I'm using Xfce 4.12.1 with latest Archlinux. I tried to set SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN variable to different values but it doesn't make any difference. I also tried to remove all settings. I'm also wondering if it is ok that toolbars background is dark... this can be changed by switching to different firefox motive but you could maybe take a look into it as well (I can open another bug report if you wish).

Hi, (In reply to mkkot from comment #0) > I tried to set SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN variable to different values but it doesn't > make any difference. What do you mean by "different values"? The only thing you need to try is export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk, and you must do it in the same terminal where you start LO. > I'm also wondering if it is ok that toolbars background is dark... Well, in a dark theme toolbars are supposed to be dark as well, isn't it? Or maybe toolbar of other GTK3 apps on your system aren't dark?
Hello Maxim and thanks for your answer. I uncomented all of them in /etc/profile.d/libreoffice-fresh.sh one after another: #export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen #export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 #export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk #export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 It seems this just doesn't work! But when I tried the command as you said from the terminal export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk then there was no problem. With option gtk libreoffice looks same way as the old version. So after all it's just bad gtk3 theming. Thanks for pointing me in the right way and sorry for wasting your time ;)
