first word is shown correctly while rest boxes next to numbers. Second line is correct in all cases.

I am developing Thesaurus for Marathi language. I have 2 synonyms added for a word. Out of which the first one is shown correctly.

(noun)|सत्ता
(विशेषण)|प्रभुत्व

The first word is shown correctly while the second one is shown as boxes. This is because there is no ascii character like a-z . I guess there is some regular expression preventing any word other than english to be displayed correctly.

Summary: If there is no english (ASCII) character then the Asian characters are shown as boxes on the first line. It shows correctly on the second line.

This is similar but not exactly same as
Bug 90261 - Asian characters in dialogue & settings displayed as 'square'.
In that case all characters are displayed incorrectly. In my case only the characters not having ASCII characters anywhere in the words before the first pipe | are shown incorrectly.

As shown in the attached image, the first synonym is shown correctly. While the second (and rest) are shown as boxes next to the numbers. The text on second line is displayed correctly.

Same font used in Ubuntu & Windows?
Comment 3 Shantanu 2015-11-14 13:22:55 UTC
Same font used for Windows and Ubuntu. Windows still shows the first line incorrectly if not accompanied by roman letters as shown in the image.

Shantanu, unfortunately there are no further comments for more than 1 1/2 years. So I'd like to ask, if the bug is still valid with an actal version of LO.
