I attached a tar archive which contains a CSV-File and a screenshot. The CSV-File contains the number 0.006. As you can see in the screenshot, it reads as 6 when I open the file with libreoffice. The screenshot contains libreOffice's "about" dialog, which contains version number and Build-ID. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Download and untar the attached archive 2. Open the file test.csv in libreoffice RESULT: Cell C2 contains the value 6, as in the screenshot (below the header C3) EXPECTED RESULT: Cell C2 contains the value 0.006, as in the CSV file
Created attachment 120920 [details] the csv file The bug tracker does not accept tar archives, so I upload the files individually.

Opens correctly with English US settings. Opens correctly with French FR settings (numbers imported as text because decimal separator is comma unless I specify English US) The only case I can get a 6 as result is with a locale which have dot as thousand separator and comma for decimal. What is your locale, Alex ? German, other ?
Mh, well, my operating system locale reads as English (United States), but still libreoffice pre-selects German on csv import. So, yes, this was the issue.
