Description gorgonz 2015-12-10 23:47:49 UTC
i used the search&replace dlg to find all words from type "benzin". Beeing lazy i used the expression "benz*", activating flags regExp and search all tables.
The results found all expressions of the type "ben*" like "Ausgaben" for example. That's definitely wrong ;-)

There are no fields for my env. I'm using
- OpenSUSE 13.1 64bit
- LO v5.0.3.2

Hi @gorgonz,

regular expressions are not the same than wildcards used in other applications.

Here are the page help for regular expressions:
https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/List_of_Regular_Expressions

In your specific case you can use (literally):
benz.*
