I installed on a brand new Surface Pro 4 fully updated to latest Windows 10 and new firmawa and the window client area is just balack in all LibraOffice programs.

I tried reinstalling and the 4 branch too.

Good point, a screenshot would have helped immensely!

No it's different. No white streaks and no menu bar.

For reference, there exists a Surface-related bug 95590 which was closed as duplicate of bug 95639

OpenGL has been disabled by default in 5.0.4, you can try the release candidate: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/

Thanks. I did search but didn't spot that bug, I guess it couched in terms of the cause.

Anyway, I confirm 5.0.4 RC 2 does not have the problem and a quick 'smoke test' is successful.

Thanks again.

I resolved as a duplicate of #95639 as appears to be OPenGL issue not the actual device (Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book). I hope that was the correct workflow.
