Need a function to find out which background color is set to a cell; the function should work on every cell of the document, e.g. =BACKGROUND_COLOR($A$1) should give a number for the color of cell A1 (palette number or rgb code or hex code of rgb would all fit) This way, I could find all cells that are marked using background colors by unknown people I work with. I found some macros that don't work as expected and would like to see such a function available in LibreOffice - this would be a feature I don't even know from other Offices like Excel.
Hi Joerg, Thanks for posting and the idea! Some questions though: > =BACKGROUND_COLOR($A$1) > ... > This way, I could find all cells that are marked using background colors by > unknown people I work with. 1: in this way you must check all cells (in a certain range)? 2: Why not Track changes? > I found some macros that don't work as expected 3: Have you tried (with help from others) to make that work? Cheers - Cor
I think in this thread you can find useful information. https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/33079/calc-sum-cells-values-having-same-background-color/ I have seen a lot of people in different forums asking about. May be the proper way could be added to the CELL() function that already returns several values about the cell content and their format.
