Affected file

This affects LO 4 and 5

We use a webapp that can export data to excel format. When we open the Excel file with Libreoffice calc, the TIME colums (for example column AF in the attached file) have a ' character in front of them, so you can't do calculations on them.

In the excel, you can do calculations on that column.

This looks like a conversion bug?

Hi Guy,

Opening your file in Excel, all Date or time datas appear as text datas (all datas aligned to left). That's why you have this apostrophe when they are imported into Calc.

To see your datas as date and time datas, select the range M3:AM54,
Open "Find & Replace" in Edit menu.
Into "Search For": write
.*
into "Replace With": write
&
At bottom, open Options: select "Regular expressions"
Into "Replace With", select "Replace All".
All selected datas will be replaced by themselves, without apostrophe, and recognized as date and time datas (aligned to right).
Tried with LO 5.0.3.2 Build ID: e5f16313668ac592c1bfb310f4390624e3dbfb75
and Windows 7 Home.
With Calc, formated as date or time datas, then exported to .xlsx format, the datas keep the date and time format, and add no apostrophe when you import it into Calc.

Can you verify that?
