When trying to Exit any of the documents, Writer or Calc for example the program will not close when using File - Exit. The only way to close the document is by Ctrl Q or by clicking the red "x". This occurs when installed over LO 5.0 and after I uninstalled LO and did a clean install. Windows 7 Pro SP1 fully updated.
What is the problem, closing the document or closing the program? To close the document, type ctrl+W or choose menu File > Close To close the program, type ctrl+Q or choose menu File > Exit LibreOffice Both works for me with all versions of LibreOffice. Best regards. JBF

JBF Your reply "What is the problem". I already posted the problem. By going to File - Exit does not work for me. It does not exit the program (LibreOffice). The only way to exit is by the red"x" or using Ctrl Q
I can confirm the described behaviour. To reproduce: 1. Open any file with Writer 2. Click on "File -> Exit Libre Office" 3. Nothing happens Possibly related behaviour: 1. Open Libre Office 2. Click on "File -> Exit Libre Office" 3. Nothing happens 4. Click "File -> Exit Libre Office" (again) 5. Libre Office closes Closing with Ctrl+Q works as intended still. Version 5.0.4.2 (Build ID: 2b9802c1994aa0b7dc6079e128979269cf95bc78) still works in that regard, so the issue emerged somewhere after that. Setting status to NEW and marking it as regression. -- Windows 10 Pro, Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.36) Version: 5.1.0.2 (x64) Build ID: ecd3574d51754b043f865cf5bafee286d24db7cc CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: GL; Locale: de-DE (de_DE)

Please clarify the behavior and identify your OS and build (paste details from the Help -> About dialog), e.g. Version: 5.1.0.2 (x64) Build ID: ecd3574d51754b043f865cf5bafee286d24db7cc CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: GL; Locale: en-US (en_US) File -> Exit has never been to *close* a document, rather it will *exit* from LibreOffice. Instead to close a document--leaving LibreOffice running (and other documents open)--has been File -> Close for acting on and closing the current document. For 5.1, the distinction between accelerators and short-cuts has widened. The [alt] key has been isolated from accelerators. Meaning that for menu navigation each component of the accelerator must be an individual button press, while short-cuts remain their key combination. So, to close a document (any component) File -> Close with mouse button clicks; or [alt] -> F -> C with key board will close. The StartCenter does have a related issue ( bug 92516 )where the menu File -> Exit mouse click (or accelerator) will not exit from LibreOffice--on the initial exit command and a second or even third button action is needed to exit. But just in that component. The other components Close and issue Exit correctly.
this is a duplicate of StartCenter bug 92516 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 92516 ***
