LibreOffice 5.1.0.2 x86 on Windows XP Pro x86 SP3 freezes after pressing OK on Google Drive connect. Tested LibreOffice 5.1.0.2 x86 and LibreOffice 5.1.0.2 x64 on a Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 machine on the same network and it worked correctly. This is either an x86 specific problem or a XP specific problem.
I'm not sure if it is the same issue, but still problems with new Remote files feature. Ubuntu 14.04, 32 bit, Libreoffice 5.1.0.2 When I try to add Remote Files Service for Google Drive I receive error message "The specific device in invalid". I can't enter login information for OneDrive, all fields are greyed out. The same happens with Alfresco Cloud.
I get the same error for google drive. I have google 2 step authentication enabled. I added libreoffice app under google settings to obtain a 16 digit password. Libreoffice will still not connect with the app password. With onedrive, after entering the username password, the dialog box disappears after a few seconds, and after some more seconds of inactivity, linreoffice crashes. Bsically for me, remote file feature is a no go :(
I have the same problem trying to access Google Drive from LO 5.1.0.3 on Windows 10 and also Ubuntu 14.04. When I try to set up the remote file service I get one of two problems. On Windows 10 I get an error of "The specified device is invalid." On Ubuntu 14.04 all of the options to enter user credentials are "grayed out" for Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. I cannot use this feature "Open Remote File..."
The same problem If you have turned on 2-step authentication: do not go If it is turned off, will succeed I would like to be left switched on. I'd feel safe The Google application code is not good. (16 digit)

I have the same issue when I try to save files on GD. The Writer freezes.
When I try to save files on GD, Writer freezes. I think this problem is similar to those reported here.
I found out that opening files from Google Drive works perfectly since branch 4.2 and it is broken since 5.0, therefore this is a REGRESSION I'm also taking the liberty of changing the Status to NEW (even if I submitted the bug) since Comments 1 to 5 confirm that LO freezes even on other OSes
Running Libreoffice 5.1 on two machines running 64-bit Ubuntu 15.10 and one running 64-bit Ubuntu 16.04, connecting to Google Drive does not work. On the 15.10 machines, all of the fields are greyed out. On the 16.04 field I can fill out the field, and click on OK. When I do I get a text message with my two-factor authentication code, but LibreOffice pops up a message that reads, "The specified device is invalid."
(In reply to David Baucum from comment #9) > When I do I get a text message with > my two-factor authentication code, but LibreOffice pops up a message that > reads, "The specified device is invalid." Google 2FA doesn't work, confirmed bug 87938 already exists.
Cannot reproduce. Windows 7, 32 bit: Version: 5.1.1.1 Build ID: c43cb650e9c145b181321ea547d38296db70f36e CPU Threads: 2; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US)
Repro. Ubuntu 14.04 64b and 32b: Version: 5.1.1.1 Build ID: c43cb650e9c145b181321ea547d38296db70f36e CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Linux 3.13; UI Render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8) Both Linux 64b and 32b version I got the error: "The specified device is invalid."
The problem is still there in 5.1.1.3, Ubuntu 14.04 32 bit.
I can confirm that this issue exists. I too get the "The specified device is invalid." I have also enabled two way authentication.
Same as bug 98416?
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #15) > Same as bug 98416? Apparently Bug #98416 was Linux specific. So I have no idea if the problem is now Windows only In any case whatever fixed Bug #98416 did not fix this bug (see https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98416#c20)
(In reply to andis.lazdins from comment #1) > When I try to add Remote Files Service for Google Drive I receive error > message "The specific device in invalid". That has now been fixed in bug 98416. (In reply to Jaime Carpenter from comment #3) > On Windows 10 I get an error of "The specified device is invalid." This error will appear on Windows if the wrong password is entered (bug 98644) or if 2-factor authentication is enabled (bug 87938). (In reply to Bruno from comment #6) > When I try to save files on GD, Writer freezes. I've noticed it freeze for a few seconds when saving, but i responds again shortly afterwards. (In reply to Pedro from comment #8) > I found out that opening files from Google Drive works perfectly since > branch 4.2 and it is broken since 5.0, therefore this is a REGRESSION So just to confirm, 4.4 didnt freeze when pressing OK for Google Drive on Windows XP? > I'm also taking the liberty of changing the Status to NEW (even if I > submitted the bug) since Comments 1 to 5 confirm that LO freezes even on > other OSes Lets reset this back to UNCONFIRMED as this bug is focused only on the Windows XP problem and we'd need another Windows XP user to confirm.
I didn't recognize that this is Windows XP specific problem. I have it on Ubuntu 14.04, 32 bit, Libreoffice 5.1.0.2. When I try to add Remote Files Service for Google Drive I receive error message "The specific device in invalid". I don't know what is 2-factor authentication in google drive. I just enter email and password at login. Should I open new bug report?

The first release candidate should arrive very soon to this page: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/ Here are instructions for parallel install: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux
Thank you! With 5.1.2.1 I'm still receiving "The specified device is invalid." Will wait for next version. No, it worked correctly and I was able to Edit/Save files. Currently it is also broken in 4.3.7.2 and 4.4.7.2 I get General input/output error. Ok. In fact the problem is even worse now (tested with Version: 5.1.2.0.0+ Build ID: 750fcdef6551f069badb802649a665e147e69083 CPU Threads: 2; OS Version: Windows 5.1; UI Render: default; TinderBox: Win-x86@62-merge-TDF, Branch:libreoffice-5-1, Time: 2016-03-15_16:35:55 Locale: pt-PT (pt_PT) I can't even type anything on the login and password fields (they are disabled) regardless if I use the Windows dialog or the LibreOffice dialog.
I can confirm with 5.1.1.1, winXP. When fill credentials and press OK, LO freeze. ---- Bug 98416 - REMOTE FILE: "The specified device is invalid." error dialog when attempting to add a service
(In reply to raal from comment #22) > I can confirm with 5.1.1.1, winXP. When fill credentials and press OK, LO > freeze. Thank you for confirming under XP. Actually I'm not sure it's a Win XP only problem. I just tested under Win 7 x64 with version 5.0.5.2 x86 and x64 and could not connect to Google Drive. Can anyone test this?
general: gdrive doesn't work when you have twofactor authentication activated my personal opinion: if it is a Windwos XP only problem, then I tend to say: Bad luck for you. Update your OS. (or try to debug the problem yourself, even provide a patch). Otherwise: resources are better spent fixing problems that affect other/all platforms, instead of XP that's only supported out of courtesy/because it still builds for it.. Put it in a known bugs list for windows xp and move on…
For Ubuntu 14.04 32 bit the problem is solved with 5.1.4.1, Google drive files can be opened. Thanks to developers!
Since we have a bibisect repository for windows covering the branch where this regression was introduced, adding keyword 'bibisectRequest'. More info: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bibisect/Windows
