Please look into the problematic cell D40 in the attached file. The correct answer is 1.5 but shows wrong value 7.85

When I open an excel file in LO, at one place, the VLOOKUP gives a wrong result. This file was created in excel. I have tried with all possible remedies available in internet.

One way I could rectify this by writing a new formula in LO. Since we have many files of excel, it is difficult to maintain this way.

Thanks & Regards,

Thank you for reporting, but please always check before with master version from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ or using Separate Install GUI tool http://tdf.io/siguiexe in Windows.
It downloads and extracts different LO versions, without installing, so you may test different versions. It only needs MS Visual C++ Runtime installed.

In this case, formula is linked to the external file. Please correct.

The more disturbing fact is that when I open in excel it shows the value 1.5 in cell D40. But when I open in LO, the value I get 7.85. This is without updating the link file ie when I open the file from the email attachment. What could be the reason for this. I have de-activated auto calculation in LO. Please help.
