Description Rene 2016-02-07 16:33:31 UTC
Since the auto-update from 5.0.3.2 I've lost the use of my danish characters æøå, ÆØÅ entered with the keyboard. No problems in the previous 5.0.3.2 release but since the update to 5.0.4.2 they keys are being ignored in Libra Writer (possible other modules, I didn't check).

I already tried removing and reinstalling without luck. No problems in any other programs, and I've now installed the older 4.4.7.2 version and there it works fine as well, so it must be something specific to 5.0.4.2.

After confirming the problem was not present in 4.4.7.2, I uninstalled and again installed 5.0.4.2, and the problem returned.

I then found 5.0.3.2 (https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/5.0.3.2/win/x86_64/) downloaded and installed, and the problem was again not present.

I'm not sure. I don't have it installed anymore so I can't immediately test it. I was able to insert the characters through "insert > special character", so I would assume I also would be able to enter it through the alt-code.

Well I am definitely able to insert åÅ without any Alt-codes.
Even ÆØ are in green and blue color in my MS ergonomic keyboard 4000, but I don't know, how to make them work :)

Have you tried updating to a more recent version since then, and see if the bug is still there? It can be installed without disrupting the existing install as described in [1] (SI-GUI is a useful tool for this).

I just checked against 5.3.4, the problem is no longer there.
