Description saparvia 2016-02-10 16:00:30 UTC
When a "large" gif file is embedded in an Impress presentation, the application ends up using a lot of memory.

Tested with an 11MB gif, which causes Impress to use over 2GB of memory, causing massive swapping rendering the application unresponsive.

There have been some improvements to gif handling in https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=285744fef87f4ca0278834b97d7f618bdba5f4c0 , can you please test recent master whether this fixed your issue?
