Created attachment 122536 [details] screenshot of drop down list not cleared by LO Calc After right clicking on a cell to get the drop down options, e.g. Copy, Paste, etc. and left clicking on one of the options, e.g. Copy, the portion of the drop down list is still visible. That can be cleaned up by right clicking on the Desktop and selecting Refresh or by grabbing the title bar and swiping the sheet over the (redundant) list.
Please @Aprax, test with the option Menu/Tools/LIbreOffice/View - Use OpenGL for all rendering. Disable.
That fixed the problem. I have no idea how that was enabled.Perhaps that setting also contributed to issues that I had with V 5.0, which were so bad that I reverted to V 4. Thanks, and close this 'bug' which isn't really a bug but not something that the ordinary person would think to set/clear. J
Don't worry, but OpenGL issues needs to be fixed.
Ah, so it's an Open GL bug, OK then, have at it. Was Open GL supposed to be the default then? I almost never change anything except dictionaries, etc. Thanks again, J
** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (5.2.5 or 5.3.0 https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Well this bug has disappeared now. I didn't knowingly do anything to 'fix' it. However about the same time I found that when typing "1st" the "st" was automatically changed to superscript. In addition when using <ctrl> Shift to cause a line break within a cell that the first alphabetic chatacter was automatically capitalized (I don't want that to happen). These changes occurred in version 5.3.0.3 about a month after it was installed. There are so many weird things happening that I've pretty much given up expecting LO to be bug free.
this works OK, even though the status is NEW and resolved is Fixed. How can it be considered NEW if it's Fixed? Must be a bug!
