The old style tabs.

Dear:

Hi!

I have many sheets in one LibreOffice Calc file, I prefer the old style of sheet tabs, each tab's width is short, and the tabs bar can contains more tabs; Now the new verion(4.4.7) use new style, the tabs bar cannot contains so many tabs and hide lots of tabs, it's inconvenient, please tell me how to change the width of tabs.

This is a conscious design decision. It is for better readability and bigger click area.
Closing as WONTFIX.

Hi Haixiao Liu,

You may also use the Navigator (F5) showing all the sheets in a list.
