Linux Bodhi Moksha LibreOffice 5.0.2.2 (also tested on master built today) Problem does not appear in bibisect package bibisect35all (deprecated - covers 3.5.0.beta0 -> 4.2) 1. Open Calc 2. Insert -> Pivot Table -> Push Enter at dialog (on master) *Data -> Pivot Table -> Create (On 5.0.2.2) Observed: "Column Fields" has a non-existent "Data" variable in it Expected: That should be empty just like every other field in the dialog
Hi Joel, not a bug, it is intended. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.3#Pivot_Table_layout_improvement
...thanks - although I have no clue how making a literally non-existent field makes things "faster" vs. entirely confusing or why by default it's going in column vs. row...sigh. Okay, at least I know now that it has some intended purpose (I'll continue pondering what said purpose might be).
Perhaps in the https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77927 indicated in the RC notes there is a bit of explanation about.
