When selecting text including accented or special characters, Ctrl-B does not work, nor does the "bold" menu icon. Italics do work, though. Workaround : one must select successively each portion of text before the first accented character, type ctrl-b, select the accented character, type ctrl-b, select the next non-accented portion, type ctrl-B etc. (It occurs at least with locale:fr_FR)
