Hi Ed, Thanks for the report. I do not have the problem in 5.0.5.2 or 5.1.0.3 on Ubuntu 32 bits, so I can't confirm the problem.
Dear Cor Nouws, Thank you for your prompt reply. I am actually using Openbox on top of Debian, latest versions of both. Linux 3.16.0-4-586 on i686 Please feel to ask (anyone else too) for more details, and I'll be happy to contribute. Thank you again.
No problem here. 64-bit, KDE Plasma 5 Build ID: 5.1.0.3 Arch Linux build-1 CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Linux 4.4; UI Render: default; Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI.UTF-8)
I tend to close this one as NotOurBug.. But maybe there is something special in the combination with OpenBox that could be resolved on our side? Maybe _rene_ has clue here?
I wonder if it's because I am using LibreOffice Fresh...
(In reply to ed.silkworth from comment #5) > I wonder if it's because I am using LibreOffice Fresh... Cor and me just tested it with Fresh.
Oh okay, hmmm.....
Maybe I was missing a library package during the installation. ...I am a bit new to Linux and don't know what to look for to help pinpoint issues, but I have noticed that programs in general do install even though some packages may be missing. Is there way a cross-references packages to pinpoint any missing? no clue how much that would involve or if it would be productive, but I'll be happy to provide any details (e.g., package lists) Thanks again~~
Try launching it from the terminal with these different commands: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen libreoffice SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk libreoffice SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 libreoffice Do you observe something interesting regarding the dialog?
Quick note: I had to append 5.1 or else the terminal couldn't find the "libreoffice" command, but anyways SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen libreoffice5.1 worked fine! SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk libreoffice5.1 had dialog issue SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3 libreoffice5.1 had dialog issue
Hello Ed, *, thank you very much for reporting this bug :) I cannot - however - confirm it with OS: Debian Testing AMD64 DM: XFCE 4.12 LO: Version: 5.1.6.2 Build-ID: 07ac168c60a517dba0f0d7bc7540f5afa45f0909 CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: Standard; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group (parallel installed, following the instructions from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux) LO: Version: 5.2.5.1 Build-ID: 1:5.2.5-2 CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: gtk3; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group (Debian's own version) LO: Version: 5.3.1.1 Build-ID: 72fee18f394a980128dc111963f2eefb05998eeb CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: gtk2; Layout-Engine: neu; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group (also parallel installed) , sorry ... :(Just out of curiosity: Have you discovered this bug with Debian's version of LO or with ours? If it was with Debian's, it would be better to report it to http://bugs.debian.org/ instead of here ... ;) Sorry for the inconvenience Thomas.
Dear Reporter, Could you please try with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
all us haven't been able to confirm the problem. So must be something odd local maybe? Close as WorksForMe at the moment anyway.
