Description Emanuel 2016-03-01 15:16:14 UTC
After upgrading from 4.4. to 5.0.0.5 loading of a simple LO spreadheet (doubleclick in finder) takes ages. It's a very simple spreadheet without macros or complex formulas. Interesting: The loading time ist much faster when opening the same file from the LO start center. Loading is slower on my MacBook Air with SSD than on my desktop mac with a conventional hard disk.

5.0.0.5 is an old and obsolete LibO release.
current stable version is 5.0.5.2 so you should upgrade to that one and retest.

if issue persists, please upload the file that's causing troubles,
if issue is gone set status to RESOLVED WORKSFORME

Hello. I mentioned version 5.0.0.5 by mistake. It was in fact with version 5.0.5 that the problem with extremely long loading times of the spreadsheet occured. I can not send in the file, because it contains confidential informations of customers.

I went back to LO 4.4.7.2, because release 5 of LO (Mac OS X El Cap) proved to be extremely buggy and I even lost data in a spreadsheet while upgrading (fortunately I hat a backup). Another bug I reported ist the immediate crashing of LO 5.0.5 when trying to save a .ods-spreadsheet in the 2003 XML Excel format. I have experimented with this issue in the meantime an found out, that this is also a (severe) bug in 4.4.7.2 Very bad.

As the other bug you quoted, perhaps 5.1.3 LO version + brand new LO directory profile may help.

@Emmanuel : without a test document for us to attempt to reproduce the behaviour, this bug will be set as RESOLVED INSUFFICIENT DATA. All we need is a Calc file reduced to the minimum content that shows the buggy behaviour, with anonymized data. It would also be a good idea to test with the most current release of LibreOffice, the 5.0.X line is EndOfLife.

Per PM from Emanuel, this bug no longer exists in 5152. Closing as WFM.
