I use Version: 5.0.5.2
Build ID: 55b006a02d247b5f7215fc6ea0fde844b30035b3
Locale: en-US (en_US)

I tried several times on the previous version to Freeze the first row in several sheets by selecting the row and then Window/Freeze but never worked. Then I upgraded to the latest version, mentioned above but the same problem appears. 

Would you help me solving it or if it's a bug, find a solution yuorself.

Hello, I have not problem with freeze function in  5.1.0.3, win7. Please attach test file where is problem. Thanks

To freeze the first row, you have to select the *second* row.

Anyway, 5.2 will have special toolbar/menu items to freeze the first row, so it will be less confusing, see Bug 91013.
