Created attachment 123866 [details] A screenshot of the "Add and Resize" button - before and after using it When I format bullets I have an option to choose a custom image instead of the stock ones to use it as a bullet however, after I have choosen one using the dialog my custom image simply doesn't appear in the window nor an error message - like I did nothing. It works neither with the format png nor with gif (both of them were tiny icons). I noticed it on multiple machines running the 5th mayor version of Libreoffice.

Created attachment 131498 [details] Screenshot of the Bullets and Numbering dialog after adding a custom PNG image
I tested today with Libreoffice Impress 5.3.0.3 and it doesn't work with PNG, GIF or SVG images. Note that, after a click on the 'Add and resize' menu item, the added image appears near the end, but it's empty (see attached screenshot).
I found another method that works well to add custom bullets. Here is the method: 1. In an Impress document, position the cursor on the text where you want to get the custom bullet, then right click and select the menu item 'Bullets and Numbering' 2. In the Bullets and Numbering dialog, go to the 'Customize' tab and in the left column, click on the plan level that corresponds to your text 3. Select 'Graphics' for the Number item, and select 'From File' for the Graphics item 4. In the file dialog that opens, select the image file you want to use as a custom bullet 5. In the Width and Height fields, set the width and height you want for your bullet image 6. Click OK and your custom bullet should be shown at the beginning of the text, with the correct size You can do this in a slide master, for each plan level. I tested it with a PNG image but I guess you can use a GIF or SVG image too.
(In reply to Roland Baudin from comment #6) > I found another method that works well to add custom bullets. indeed. And 5.2 is old. So let's close as WorksForMe.
