Column width error

There are three formatting related issues that occur if a file gets saved in new Excel format (XLSX):
- if exact value for column width is set, respective value erroneously gets slightly decremented
- if indent is set for a cell, this value erroneously gets incremented
- if two or more font sizes are used within a cell, those different font sizes are not stored correctly

All those problems occur regardless whether the content gets input directly into a blank (new) LibreOffice Calc document or any existing (e.g. XLS or ODS) document is converted into XLSX via File ==> Save as.
None of the problems occur if the data are saved to to "old" (binary) Excel format (XLS).

Hence, I attached three simple XLS files for demonstration. Simply open them and save them as XLSX, but keep the application open.
Now open the XLSX files and compare the column widths, text indentations and font-sizes of the cells for each document.
You can easily see the undesired differences mentioned above.

Thanks in advance for examining these issues which I guess might cause several people some trouble when working with modern MS Excel documents.

Please search for duplicates before reporting.
Column width issue is bug 91475
Indent issue is bug 62878

I cannot reproduce the font size issue either from scratch or with your document.

Maybe try with 5.1. If it still continues, you could attach a screenshot of the problem.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists with version 5.1. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Hi Buovjaga,

sorry first for my belated reply (had been pretty busy, recently) and second for filing a duplicate bug report for the column width as well as the indent issue.
I actually tried to find a corresponding entry as I could hardly believe that I would be the only one affected by this, but it seems my search terms have not been as good as they should have been...

Moreover, you are right about the font size issue: It does not show up anymore in the most recent stable build (5.1.2.2) on Windows 8.1 Pro (while the other two issues still persist).
Going back to 5.0.5.2 brings the problem back as shown in my screenshot.

Nevertheless, I changed this entry to RESOLVED WORKSFORME as requested (because the most recent release 5.1.2.2 has is fixed) and hope the two annoying remaining bugs will be fixed soon.
