Created attachment 123900 [details] screenshot of the "compress image" dialog window In the "compress image" dialog, I would appreciate an option for using indexed colours when relevant. For example, the png image format decreases the file size when using 256 indexed colours instead of "real" colours.
This is an enhancement request
This bug still exists in version 6.3.1.2.
Note that this option has to be proposed for PNG output file only. Besides the checkbox, maybe a "combobox" would define the number of colours in the index : 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256. This combobox would be enabled only if the checkbox is selected. The default value could be set to 256.
