Description BUGSINLIBRE 2016-04-06 04:12:33 UTC
Wrap Text and Background Colour for cells is broken in all versions of 5.1.

First : Wrap Text does not persist.

Second : Background colour randomly disappears.

This happens on XP, Win7, Win8.1, Win10.

And it is not just a cosmetic issue : if you open the file in Excel, the same things show as taken off - it all happens when SAVING the file.

------------------

I had to revert to 5.0.4.2 to regain my sanity !

Having reverted back to 5.0.4.2, I have noticed another thing that may point the developers to the problem.

In 5.0.4.2, when there have been no modifications to the Workbook, the SAVE button is disabled. In 5.1.1.3, the SAVE button is ALWAYS LIVE even if there have not been any edits ......

And, to repeat, it is when the file is saved that all the corruption happens in terms of WRAP TEXT and BACKGROUND COLOUR settings.

What format did you save to? ODS, XLSX..?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.

I was saving in XLS format. I tries XLSX just in case that made a difference, but it did not, so I reverted to version 5.0.4.2 which works fine.

Incidentally I have since seen other people reporting the issue AND I was able to replicate the problem on 5 other PCs (Win7/Win10/Win8.1) because we had all upgraded Libre Office in our office - we have now all gone back to 5.0.4.2.
